In this section, we introduce children to spoken and written alphabets. Each exercise is designed to help children understand the relationship between the spoken letter name and written letter form. Once your child can recite every letter in the alphabet, and can accurately read all uppercase letters, you should begin to introduce lowercase letters. Remember that placing letters too close together can create new shapes that distract the eye. Discussing letter forms will help your child build a mental model of each letter; it will also help you to see what is most memorable to your child. Letter Activities Uppercase Letters
